David Smith

David Phinnies Smith III, 31, of Thomasville, died Saturday, February 28, 2015. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Evangelist Dolan Skeen and Preacher Jimmy Wansley officiating. Burial will follow at Eleazer Church Cemetery in Troy. Mr. Smith was born in Davidson County, NC, on May 28, 1983. He attended Asheboro High School. He was a loving father, son and brother. He was also an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Hannah Penniger Smith; daughters, Madison LeAnn Smith, Avery Elizabeth Smith, both of the home; mother, Debra "Debbie" Skeen, of Denton; father, David Smith, Jr. and wife, Mary, of Star; sister, Amanda Hastings and husband, Kyle, of Lexington; brothers, Adam Lee Smith, of Denton, Daniel Lane Smith, of Star; grandparents, Linda and Moses Luther, of Asheboro and Donna Skeen, of Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro and other times at the home of Donna Skeen and at the home of Linda and Moses Luther.
