David E. Newlin

Mr. David Edward Newlin, 73, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Kindred Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Science Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery with Pastor Michael Fulp officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Newlin was born October 14, 1939. He was the son of the late Orlin Charlie Newlin and Henrietta Lassiter Newlin. He was a graduate of Farmer High School. Mr. Newlin worked at Nance Chevrolet and later retired from the North Carolina D.O.T. Mr. Newlin is survived by his wife, Sue Moore Newlin, of the home; sons, David "Dave" E. Newlin, Jr., Scott E. Newlin and wife, Sandy, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Charles W. Newlin and wife, Ann, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Newlin, Kevin Newlin and Jake Newlin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home.
