David Haywood Luck

David Haywood Luck, 80, of Asheboro, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at South Asheboro Church of God, Asheboro, with Pastor Alex Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Friends Meeting Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born in Randolph County, NC on June 13, 1938, Mr. Luck was the son of the late Ernest Luck and Bertha Morton Luck. He served in the US Army. Mr. Luck retired from Bost Neckwear after 24 years of service. He attended South Asheboro Church of God. Mr. Luck enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse trading, and talking to everyone. In addition to his parents, Mr. Luck was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kinley Luck. Surviving are his sons, Johnny E. Luck and wife, Alicia, Timothy D. Luck, Kevin A. Luck, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jacob Luck of Asheboro, Luke Luck of Asheboro, Noah Luck of Gastonia, and Brent Luck of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 prior to the service at the church.
