David Kearns

Mr. David Benjamin Kearns, 72, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Hopewell Friends Meeting with Rev. Daniel Thames officiating. Burial will follow in the meeting cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Kearns was born September 12, 1941. He was the son of the late William Everette Kearns and Esther Lewallen Kearns. He was a Christian who enjoyed going to auction sales and being outside. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kearns was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Kearns, and his sister, Peggy Dunn. Mr. Kearns is survived by his wife, Betty K. Kearns, of the home; son, David E. Kearns and wife, Lori, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Ollie Faye Herndon and husband, Freddie, Joyce Kidd and husband, Roger, Betty Sue Kearns and husband, Hollis, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Bobby Kearns, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tommy Kearns, of the home, Jennifer Mullin and husband, Chris, of Rock Hill, SC, Danielle Rambo and husband, Dwayne, of Thomasville, NC; great grandchildren, McKenzie Kearns, Dallas Rambo, Gavin Mullin, Damien Rambo; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Kearns, 1775 Callicutt Henley Road, Asheboro, NC. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
