David Elliott Brown

David Elliott Brown, 90, of Randleman, went home to be with the Lord and several family members on October 21, 2026.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Caraway Baptist Church, 2928 Beeson Farm Road, Sophia, with Pastor Fredie Meadows and Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating. A private burial will be held at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

David graduated from Randleman High School in 1955. After serving 4 years in the Navy, he graduated from NC State Truck Driving Academy. David retired from Sears-Terminal Freight and Holidays Tours. He was a member of Caraway Baptist Church in Sophia, NC, where he was a Trustee, Sound Engineer and Missions Board Member.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lena Brown; sisters, Edna Hodgin, Ruth Ingold, Bertha Brown, Gladys Herlocker, and Violet Cox; brothers, Luther Brown and Colon Brown; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Martha Boling and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Surviving are his loving wife, Janice Brown; his children, David "Randy" Brown and Autumn, Rhonda Moody and Gary, Robbie Cooper and Ashley, Melody Hall and Shellie; grandchildren, David and Heather Moody, Jon and Carmen Moody, Matt and Sarah Brown, Austin Cooper, Chloe Cooper, Kenzie Faircloth; great grandchildren, Samuel, Stephen, Seth, Simeon, Mackenzie, Elliott, and Eliza (on the way); several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., Sunday, at the church prior to the service.
