Mr. David Lee "Davie" Blackburn, II, 41, of Cherokee, NC, and formerly of Asheboro, NC, peacefully went home to Heaven on Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. His loved ones were by his side. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2013, at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Manuel officiating. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mr. Blackburn was born October 8, 1971. He is survived by father, David Blackburn, Sr., and wife, Rose, of Asheboro; mother, Helen Brady and husband, Bill, of Cherokee, NC; daughters, Tiffany Blackburn, Alicia Blackburn, both of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Kevin Blackburn, Jonathan Gooch, both of Asheboro, NC; sister, Wendy Blackburn, of Asheboro; one grandson; fiancé, Ms. Diane Railey, of Cherokee, NC; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many beloved friends. A visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 5 "� 7 pm in the Chapel of Long House Funeral Home in Cherokee, NC. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Long House with Pastor Foreman Bradley officiating.
