Darrell William Gallimore

Mr. Darrell William Gallimore, 64, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Sink officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Gallimore was born April 26, 1948. He was the son of the late Jay William Gallimore and Evelyn "Dot" Frances Hunt Gallimore. He graduated from Asheboro High School and UNC-Greensboro. Mr. Gallimore retired from AT&T. He was active in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant and served as a judge for pageants throughout the United States. Mr. Gallimore is survived by his brothers, Steve Gallimore and wife, Susan, of Greensboro, NC, Dennis Gallimore and wife, Barbara, of Asheboro, NC; niece, Amy Gallimore Allred and husband, Joe, of Garner, NC; nephew, Bryan Gallimore, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home.
