Darrell Lee Davis, Sr., 86, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Kim Synder officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born in Guilford County, NC, on September 21, 1932, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Carl E. Davis and Thelma Sechrest Davis. He was incredibly mechanical and worked as an auto body shop technician and owned his own shop for many years. Mr. Davis was a member of First Assembly and he served in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed making bird houses, fishing flies and poles. Talking about Jesus, fishing and fixing things were his favorite topics. He loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are his wife, Joyce M. Davis, of the home; sons, Darrell L. Davis, Jr., of Conway, SC, Carl E. Davis and wife, Robbie, of Winston-Salem, Michael Davis and wife, Patti, of Lexington, Jimmy Marsh and wife, Ginny, of Charlotte, Kevin Marsh, of Asheboro, Patrick Marsh, of Kernersville; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home.
