Darius Thomas Hoover, 58, of Asheboro, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday October 5, 2018, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Community Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Hoover was born on July 30, 1960. He was employed with Klaussner Furniture. He cared for and loved many and took care of everyone he loved. Mr. Hoover was a hard worker, craftsman at heart, and a provider to everyone he knew and was always willing to help them anyway he could. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, William Grady Hoover, and sister, Phyllis E. Hoover. Surviving are his wife, Delores J. Hoover, of the home; daughters, Renee Davenport and husband, Michael, of Troy, Cande Avilez and fiance, Tyler Owens, of Asheboro, Lisa Rodriguez, of Biscoe, Sherry Dennis, of Candor; son, Larry W. Dennis, of Robbins; mother, Lois Hoover, of Asheboro; brothers, Eddie Hoover and wife, Susan, of Asheboro, Lawrence Hoover and wife, Rita, of Ramseur; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three nephews; four nieces; and his loving fur baby, Charlette. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
