Dannie Gene Teague, 79, of Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at To God Be The Glory Ministries with Rev. Barry Presnell officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Cherokee County, Mr. Teague was born March 12, 1936 to the late Norman and Ora Wright Teague. He retired from Klaussner Furniture as a electrician after 34 years of service. Mr. Teague was a US Navy Veteran having served on the USS Vessol as a gunner. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. Mr. Teague loved his family and attending church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son,Tony Teague; three brothers, Hoyte, Olen and Bill Teague; and three sisters, Marie T. Braut, Fay T. Buchanan and Edith T. Owen. Mr. Teague is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Dorothy Teague of Asheboro; sons, Chris Teague and wife, Deidre of Asheboro, Wayne Coble and wife, Becky of Princeton, WV, Randy Coble and wife, Sherri of Trinity, Roger Harvey and wife, Sharon of Randleman; one sister, Thelma T. Cole of Seagrove; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
