Daniel Craig Skinner, 76, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his home.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Daniel was born on January 19, 1949 in Altadena, CA. Daniel honorably served in the US Air Force. He later retired from the US Postal Service. After retirement, he later worked in maintenance at Southwestern Randolph Middle School. Daniel was an avid fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt. He loved golf and trying to answer the trivia before the contestants in "Jeopardy". Daniel loved horses, especially his two favorites, "Lucky" and "Misty".
Mr. Skinner was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Avels Skinner; son, Michael Caldwell; and father, Benjamin Skinner, Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Batson and husband Ransom of West End, Lynnae Carrico and husband Roger of Asheboro; son, Robert "Bobby" Caldwell and wife April of Asheboro; mother, LaVerne Nicholson of CA; sister, Linda Dvorak; half sister, Pam Lowers; half brother, Brian Skinners; grandchildren, Shaena, Ashlee, Ivy, and Ezra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home.
