Daniel Dixon

Daniel Charles Dixon, 49, of Randleman, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Family Cemetery, Randleman. Born February 21, 1967 in Alabaster, AL, Mr. Dixon was the son of the late Danny and Betty Dixon. He had a passion for drag racing and worked on race cars. Danny was a "jack of all trades" and enjoyed working on and restoring old cars. He would always be there to help anyone in need. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Peggy Dixon of Shelby, AL. Danny is survived by his wife, Ellen Newman of the home; daughter, Tonya Lynn Dixon of Randleman; sons, Danny Charles Dixon (Terri) and Samuel Edward Dixon (Elizabeth), both of Randleman; "adopted" sons, Victor Espitia, Justice McDaniel; sister, Charlotte (Carl) Johnson of Crossville, AL; brother, David Dixon (Tammy) of Albertsville, AL; grandchildren, Nicholas Dixon, Benjamin Gibson, Joshua Gibson; and aunt and "mother", Darlene Dixon Talton of Shelby, AL. He is also survived by very close friends, Pat Mitchell (Brenda), Jay Buffkin (Frances), Jared Buncy, Lynn Robbins, Darlene Bullins, Billy York, Timmy Guynn, Cindy Williamson and many other loving friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016 at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church.
