Daniel Archie Davis, 84, formerly of Asheboro, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Thomasville. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Due to the forecast of inclement weather, burial will be next week at Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Robeson County, NC, on May 6, 1934, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Hazel Worth Davis and Eva Ivey Davis. He was a retired sewing machine mechanic. Mr. Davis served in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Hall Davis and three siblings. Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Davis Powers and husband, Mark, of Denton; son, Danny Davis, of Graham; granddaughter, Alesha Spivey and husband, Jonathan; great grandchildren, Huxley Spivey and Thaddeus Spivey. The family will receive friends Saturday, following the funeral service at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Children's Home, P.O. Box 1288, Lexington, NC 27292; or to Hospice of Randolph County, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
