D. A. "Bert" Callicutt

Mr. Dossie Albert "Bert" Callicutt, 84, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Garland Hall, Rev. Joe Edwards and James Allmon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mr. Callicutt was born July 22, 1929. He was the son of the late Dossie Stanback Callicutt and Fannie Saunders Callicutt. He enjoyed gardening and especially his tractor. Mr. Callicutt is survived by his wife, Mozelle Callicutt, of the home; daughters, Panda Burgess and husband, Alan, of Franklinville, NC, Ella Ward and husband, Douglas, Rhonda Ray and husband, Donald, all of Asheboro, NC; son, Michael Callicutt and wife, Dorothy, of Asheboro, NC; brother, J. P. Callicutt and wife, Maxilee, of Asheboro, NC; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.1 The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
