Connie Maness Hoover

Mrs. Connie Lee Maness Hoover, 86, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Smith and Rev. Danny Outen officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hoover was born February 27, 1928. She was the daughter of the late James Alton Maness and Ethel Lois Davis Maness. Mrs. Hoover was retired from Centel. She was a member of the West Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hoover and brothers, Kenny Maness and Clifford Maness. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her daughter, Janet Hoover Mintz, and husband, Greg, of Asheboro, NC; brother, Beauford Maness, of Seagrove, NC; granddaughter, Tina Hiskett, and husband, Fred, of Seagrove, NC; and great grandchildren, Barrett Hiskett and Emma Hiskett. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, May 23, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
