Colon Wesley Green, 91, of Asheboro, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Sarah Grooms and Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Born on December 14, 1934, in Randolph County, NC, Colon was the son of the late James Goodman Green and Zora Dell Wallace Green. He was the owner and operator of Green Sawmill. Colon was a member of West Asheboro Church of God. He was a faithful Christian man with a beautiful spirit, who was always thinking of others. Colon was a loving dad and grandpa, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Colon was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Juanita Bennett Green; son, Wesley Green; sister, Janie Lucas; and brothers, Rev. Lee Green and James Green.
Surviving are his daughter, Brenda Boone of Asheboro; son, Terry Green of the home; sister, Kathy Williams (Rufus) of Asheboro; brother, Kirby Green (Faye) of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Green; grandchildren, April Rice (Kevin), Steven Boone (Sonya), Christina Inman, Presley Green; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
