Colesta " Buck" Warren Blackwell

Mr. Colesta "Buck"� Warren Blackwell, 45, of 1164 Canaan Church Road, Denton, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010, at Covenant Christian Church. Burial will follow in Piney Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Blackwell was born on August 13, 1965 in Randolph County. He graduated from Eastern Randolph High School and was a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, being a DJ, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert "Sonny"� Blackwell. Surviving are his wife, Tina Blackwell, of the home; daughters, Zakiya Blackwell, of the home, Ayana Davis, of Asheboro; sons, Zakary Blackwell, of the home, Joel Brown, of Liberty; mother, Rosie Blackwell, of Randleman; father, Cecil Cheek, of Seagrove; sisters, Alisa Marsh, Tonya Blackwell, both of Randleman, Geneva Cyrus, of Greensboro, Quinnetta Harris, of Concord; brothers, Lee Blackwell and wife, Robin, of Greensboro; David Blackwell and wife, Robin, of Asheboro, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Sunday, September 5, 2010 and other times at the home and at the home of David and Robin Blackwell, 1605 Staley's Farm Road, Asheboro.
