Clinton E. Walker

Mr. Clinton Eugene Walker, 65, of Asheboro, NC, passed away quietly at his home on Friday, July 15, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, July 18, 2011, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting with Rev. Todd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the meeting cemetery. A lifelong resident of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Walker was born July 8, 1946. He was the son of the late Ross Walker and Ardieth Opal Cox Walker. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture Industries. He was a gentle soul with a great compassion for animals, especially horses, which he owned and cared for much of his life. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Walker Briden, formerly of Raleigh, NC. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Audrey Walker, of the home; daughters, Lorraine Brown and husband, Johnie, Melody Greene and husband, Robert, all of Asheboro, NC, Donna Street and husband, Richard, of Connelly Springs, NC; son, Chad E. Walker and wife, Michelle, of Denton, NC; grandchildren, Kevin Walker, Megan Walker, Heather Greene, Matthew Greene; sister, Barbara Luther and husband, Allen, of Asheboro, NC; brother, Odell Walker and wife, Barbara, of Ramseur, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday, July 18, 2011, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting and other times at the home.
