Clinton Edward VonCannon, 80, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at Moses Cone Health in Greensboro. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. John Williamson and Rev. Joseph Loflin officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Mr. VonCannon was born on December 13, 1941 in Randolph County. He worked Klopman Hosiery until they closed, then at Acme-McCrary Hosiery Mill for several years and finally retiring at Bossong Hosiery Mills. He enjoyed classic cars, going to flea markets and had a deep love for his cats. He is preceded in death by his parents, Newton VonCannon and Edith Ritter VonCannon; and his brother, Gurney VonCannon. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma Jean Kinley VonCannon of the home; children, Clifton Edward VonCannon and wife Michele of Asheboro, Cathy VonCannon Jordan of Asheboro; grandchildren, Charles Jordan of Troy, and Joshua Jordan of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at Ridge Funeral Home.
