Cliff William Kitz, Jr.

Clifford "Cliff" William Kitz, Jr., 77, of Climax, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at his home.

A private service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held at a later date.

Born on June 8, 1948 in Egg Harbor City, NJ, Cliff was the son of the late Clifford William Kitz, Sr. and Imogene Bush Kitz. Cliff served honorably in the US Army during Vietnam. He was extremely proud of his service and always thanked other veterans for their service as well. Cliff was a hard worker and enjoyed tinkering on anything that needed to be repaired. He loved animals and would carry food and water anywhere to take care of the strays. He had the gift of gab and never meet a stranger. Most of all, Cliff loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Cole and grandson, Adam Teague.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Margie Kitz of the home; daughter, Michele Andrews (Kevin) of Siler City; brother, Roger Kitz (Dee) and family of Williamstown, NH; and great grandchild, Kasen Brett Teague.
