Cleo Mcdowell Frick

Mrs. Cleo Rebecca McDowell Frick, 75, of Aberdeen, NC, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, with Rev. Jane Leechford and Rev. Edwin Chriscoe officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Frick was born January 29, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Fletcher McDowell and Lillie Shaw McDowell. She was a 1957 graduate of Asheboro High School and a 1961 graduate of Pfeiffer College. She was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of Page Memorial United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years. Mrs. Frick is survived by her husband, Gary A. Frick, of the home; sons, Marcus Frick and friend, Linda, of Asheboro, Kevin Frick and wife, Lisa, of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Betty McDowell Jones and husband, Joe, of Asheboro, Callie McDowell Chriscoe and husband, Edwin, of Lexington, grandchildren, Christina Frick and Alexander Frick; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
