Paul Clayton Davis, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 27 at W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Memorial services will conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 963 Burney Road, Asheboro, NC with his nephew, Travis Nichols, officiating. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Davis was born June 30, 1931, the son of the late Wiley and Lillie Davis. He was retired from Trailer Bottle Gas. Clayton was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was also known for being a humorous, good-natured man who had a big heart. He had a strong love for animals, sports and music. Mr. Davis had served in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Kearns, and his brother, Darrell Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Davis, of the home; daughters, Deborah Stickler and husband, Mike, Paula Davis, all of Asheboro, NC; sister, Jolie Corder and husband, Walter; grandchild, Megan Blackwell and husband, John. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC.
