Mr. Claude Edward "Junior"� Swaney, Jr., 74, of Asheboro, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Dr. Ron Hamilton officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Swaney was born January 1, 1936. He was the son of the late Claude Edward Swaney, Sr. and Bessie Jane McDowell Swaney. He was the retired owner and operator of H & S Saw Shop and Swaney's Lawn Care. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he was always willing to help anybody with anything. In addition to his parents, Mr. Swaney was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Swaney and his brother, Henry Lee "Chub"� Swaney. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Nancy Swaney, of the home; daughters, Roxy Trogdon, Emily Auman and husband, Kevin, all of Asheboro; sisters, Trella Beane and husband, Ivey, Inez Burcham, all of Asheboro; brother, Dempsey Swaney, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Justin Trogdon, Audee Auman, Ree-Anna Auman, Daylin Auman; great grandchildren, Ty Trogdon, Bryce Trogdon, and Cade LeBow. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, November 29, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church, 1810 Old Farmer Road, Asheboro, NC 27205; or to Lighthouse Baptist Church, P.O. Box 533, Seagrove, NC 27341.
