Clarice Auman Prus

Clarice "Chris" Auman Prus, 85, of Charlotte, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at The Parc at Sharon Amity in Charlotte surrounded by people she loved. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Randolph Co., on October 24, 1934, to the late James Garfield Auman and Ronie May Cole Auman. Clarice loved visiting Oak Island, NC, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed staying busy. After retiring from Wellman Inc., she worked at Providence Country Club for over 20 years. She was reluctant to leave all of her "grandchildren" behind, but finally retired in 2017. In addition to her parents, Clarice is preceded by her husband, John "Jack" Prus; daughter, Janice Cagle Stamper; siblings, Len Auman, Truett Auman, Virgie Hicks, and Ruby Lowe. Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Symes Darnell and husband Ken; son, Bruce Cagle; grandchildren, Jeanna Lamb-Tidwell, Kevin Symes and wife Diana, Dustin Cagle; great grandchildren, Chandler Tidwell, Alea Tidwell, Hutson Cagle. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home. We are grateful beyond words to the staff at The Parc at Sharon Amity and the nurses with Hospice who took care of Clarice this last year.
