Clara Ann Owens

Clara Ann Owens, 77, of Seagrove, NC, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Tommy Brown and Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Huldah Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. Born in Randolph County, NC, on November 3, 1941, Ms. Owens was the daughter of the late Arthur Clarence Owens and Virginia Dare Batten Owens. She was retired from General Electric/Black and Decker. She was a member of Huldah Baptist Church. She loved her flowers and always had a pretty flower garden until she got sick. She battled cancer for six years and is now resting in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, Ms. Owens was preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Atkins and Lois Hill; and brother, Arthur Owens, Jr. Surviving are her son, Rayvon Freeman, of the home, sister, Vera Cox and husband, Don, of Asheboro, brother, Timothy Owens, of Morehead City, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her sister, Vera Cox, 786 Bray Blvd., Asheboro, NC.
