Chris Johnson

Mr. Christopher Earl Johnson, 36, of 900 Greencastle Road, died Sunday, November 14, 2010. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with William Fields and Johnny Harvell officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Johnson was born November 19, 1973. He was the son of Garland Lee Johnson and Janet Elizabeth Freeman Johnson, of Asheboro. He was a graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School, class of 1992, attended Southeastern Community College and played baseball. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, working with his hands, communicating on Facebook, spending time with his family and friends and playing games with his daughter. He was just recognized for 10 years Safe Driving with Fed Ex. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Lee Johnson. Mr. Johnson, in addition to his parents, is survived by daughter, Taylor Morgan Johnson, of Ramseur; brother, Mark Johnson and wife, Lori, of Asheboro, NC; maternal grandmother, Mattie Freeman Brown, of Asheboro, NC; nephews, Austin Nathaniel Johnson and Lucas "Luke"� Ryan Johnson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 139 Gearren St., Asheboro, NC.
