Charlie Eugene Cassady

Charlie Eugene Cassady, 65, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church, 4926 Piney Ridge Church Road, Seagrove, with Pastor Phyllis Coates officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, 6808 Riverside Road, Seagrove. He was born January 16, 1954 in Chatham County to the late Denver Lee Cassady and Alice Elizabeth Spinks Cassidy. Charlie spent his early years in Seagrove attending Brower Elementary School. He loved race cars, rhythm and blues music, food and family visits. He is survived by his brother, Walter Cassady, sisters; Maudie Carter, Adell Womble (Jerome), Carol Franks (David), Annie Johnson, Belinda Morris, Deborah White (John), Nettie Peterson (Jimmy), Stella Womble (Samuel) and Vickile White (Russell). There will be a viewing from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church, prior to the service. The family will be at 4787 Bent Ridge Road, Seagrove at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292; or to the Dream Makers, 168 Roy Lopp Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
