Charles Henry Presnell

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Goodwill Christian Church, 1748 Jim Elliott Road, Denton, with Pastor Melvin Morton officiating. Born in Randolph County on March 3, 1937, Mr. Presnell was the second son of the late Lonnie and Viola Dunning Presnell. He was retired from Eveready, Inc. and he served briefly in the US Navy. Charles was known and loved by many in the community and was dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed working in the shop and spending time on the porch with his beloved Ernestine and dog, Sprinkles, by his side. Surviving are his wife, Ernestine K. Presnell; daughter, Tammy P. McKee, of Burlington, NC; son, Anthony "Tony" C. Presnell, of Sanford, NC, and brothers, Wayne Presnell and Phillip Presnell. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204, or to Goodwill Christian Church.
