Charles "Bill" Husband

Charles William "Bill" Husband, Sr., 93, of Asheboro, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A private graveside service will be held at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Rockingham Co., NC, Mr. Husband was born April 23, 1924, the son of the late Charles Howard and Lottie Julian Husband. He was retired from the NC Department of Corrections and had attended Oakwood Park Baptist Church. Mr. Husband had served in the US Marines during World War II and was a member of the Marine Corps League. In addition to his parents, Mr. Husband was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian M. Husband, daughter, Susan Carol Husband, brother Donald Eugene Husband, sister, Patsy Kathleen Husband, and half-brother, Joseph Husband. Survivors include his son, Chuck Husband (Sonya) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tiffani Husband Lindley (Dalton), Ryan Husband (Katie); three great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Ann Williams. Mr. Husband will lie in state on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, until 8:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
