Catherine Gilles

Mrs. Catherine Betty McGrath Gilles, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral mass is scheduled for 9:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Philip Kollithanath officiating. A native of Buffalo, NY, Mrs. Gilles was born June 27, 1924. She was the daughter of the late William McGrath and Rose Calleghan McGrath. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Group and the Ladies Guild. She was retired from General Electric in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell B. Gilles. Mrs. Gilles is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Lee Fabritius and husband, Richard, of Middlefield, OH, Barbara Lou Gilles, of Albequarque, New Mexico; granddaughters, Lisa, Karen, Jennifer, Amy, Juanita; and great granddaughter, Grace. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, May 24, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm.
