Casper Mcdowell

Casper Eli McDowell, 90, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Johnny Henderson and Rev. Greg Arnold. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born February 4, 1926 in Randolph County, Mr. McDowell was the son of the late Eli and Martha McDowell, and was the last survivor of 11 brothers and sisters. He was a charter member of Crossroads Baptist Church and retired from Toleram Fibers. He enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, Mr. McDowell was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Hatley McDowell. Survivors include his sons, Keith McDowell and wife, Tillie, Lynn McDowell and wife, Susan, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sherry Johnson and husband, David, Jamie Sellman and husband, Chris, Jennifer Burge and husband, David; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
