Mr. Carroll Delmonte "Bim" Hunt, 87, of 1551 Mountain View Church Road, Asheboro, NC, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Hunt was born August 31, 1922, the son of the late Samuel and Zula Pierce Hunt. He had worked as an Auto Body Repairman for Hunt's Automotive, was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Bim was a loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Frances W. Hunt, of the home, daughters, Brenda H. Thomas and husband, Paul, of Biscoe, Ruth H. Brady and husband, Roger, of Sophia, Gail H. Bailey and husband, Darrell, of Asheboro, Lucy H. Lucas and husband, Bobby, of Asheboro; sons, Sammy Hunt and wife, Janet, Clifford Hunt and wife, Virginia, Rev. David Hunt and wife, Kathy, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Angela Brock, Jerry Bim Harris, Tonya Shepherd, Christina Holt, Olivia Blanton, Kim Cox, Jeff Hunt, Brian Hunt, Katherine Lucas, Timothy Lucas; twelve great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm on Friday, June 18, 2010, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 147 MacArthur Street, Asheboro, NC 27203, or to Christian Fellowship Church, 856 Jarvis Miller Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
