Carrie Roberts Crawford

Carrie Roberts Crawford, 100, of Asheboro, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Charles Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Grayson County, VA, Mrs. Crawford was born May 19, 1917, the daughter of the late George Roberts and Verda Sawyers Roberts. She was retired from Jockey International and she was of the baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Crawford; son, Wayne Crawford; an infant daughter; brothers, George Roberts, Homer Roberts; sisters, Vada Wilson, Mamie Childers; and grandson, Jonathan Simmons. Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Simmons (Grant) of Seagrove; sons, Kenneth Crawford (Carolyn) of Asheboro, Chris Crawford (Brenda) of Randleman, Randy Crawford (Carolyn) of Asheboro; sister, Ora Roberts of Graham; grandchildren, Terrie Brown (Chris), Phillip Crawford (Coral), Brian Crawford (Lisa), Patrick Crawford, Krista Schneider (Danny), Brandon Payne (Deena), Eric Crawford (Annie), Lindsay Taylor (Darren), great-grandchildren, Emily Crawford, Cameron Crawford (Becca), Bradley Crawford, Lauren Crawford, Kayla Schneider Thomas (Tucker), Emma Schneider, Kara Schneider, Keaton Taylor, and Ella Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home.
