Carrie S. Cranford

Carrie Saunders Cranford, 92, of Franklinville, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Bachelor officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Wesleyan Church Cemetery. A native of Richmond County, Mrs. Cranford was born July 19, 1923 to the late Walter and Minnie Saunders. She was retired from Ramtex and she attended Full Gospel Bible Church of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cranford was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Cranford; sister, Martha Hanna; brother, Clarence Saunders; and twin siblings, Billy and Lily Saunders. She is survived by her daughters, Alice Lovine Chavis and husband, Donnie of Franklinville, Barbara Cranford of Kennesaw, GA, Brenda Cranford of Franklinville, Pat Cranford of Republic, MO, Tammie Brown of Kennesaw, GA; sons, Mitchell Cranford and wife, Phyllis of Franklinville, Kenneth Cranford and wife, Ameila of Seagrove; sisters, Virgie McNeil, Mary Campbell, Elizabeth Sanders, Blanche Gibson, Edna Sparks; brothers, Jessie, Dewie and Herbert Saunders; 40 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at her home in Franklinville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
