Carolyn Kahle

Carolyn Lee Smith Kahle, 76, of Ramseur, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. There are no services scheduled at this time. Born in Charleston, WV, on January 25, 1942, Mrs. Kahle was the daughter of the late Russell Eugene Smith and Mary Hazel Breeden Smith Durnell. Mrs. Kahle worked for Westinghouse. She was a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan Kahle; daughter, Kimberley Sue Williard; granddaughter, Jamie Nicole Karnes; and brother, Mike Smith. She is survived by daughters, Shari Mercer of Richmond, VA, Carmen Williard of Asheboro, Candace Karnes of WV, Melissa Hussey and husband, Joe of Asheboro; sons, Russell Matthew Kahle and wife, Melissa of Winston-Salem, John Kahle and wife, Jeannie of Boone, Russell Scott Kahle and wife, Lauren of Asheboro; brother, Larry Eugene Smith of Florida; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
