Carolyn "Polly" Dunlap

Mrs. Carolyn Lucille Lawson Dunlap, 66, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2013, at New Hope Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. A native of Surry County, NC, Mrs. Dunlap was born June 23, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Cephas Lawson and Lucy Goins Lawson. Mrs. Dunlap worked at Acme McCrary Corp. and was a farmer. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family. She was very giving to everyone she knew. She also loved her cat, Oscar and her dog, Bonnie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Dunlap. Mrs. Dunlap is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Allred and husband, William, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Daniel Allred and Leanna Allred; lifelong friend, Linda Allen and husband, Clinton, of Asheboro; and special friend, Melita Dixon and husband, John, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm Monday, March 11, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
