Carolyn Darnell

Carolyn Elizabeth White Darnell, 71, of Asheboro, died Friday, September 2, 2016 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Wall. A native of Bristol, TN, Mrs. Darnell was born November 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Howard Thomas and Edelle Nickels White. She was a graduate of Bluff City High School and was of the Baptist faith. Carolyn had a deep love of God, faith, family and music. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Darnell was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Thomas White, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Early Franklin Darnell, of the home; children, Karen Knapp and husband Donnie, of Bluff City, TN, Lon Gene Leonard, Jr., and wife Connie, of Johnson City, TN, Ty Leonard and wife Susan, of Coleridge, NC; brother, Gene White and wife, Kim, of Bluff City, TN; grandchildren, Michael Miller, Crystal Dotts, Brenna Crawford, Matt Rector, Tyler Leonard; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends fro 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro.
