Carolyn Auman

Mrs. Ida Carolyn Bouldin Auman, 71, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Forbis Kivett officiating. Burial will follow at Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Trinity. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Auman was born December 3, 1940. She was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put their needs ahead of her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Wills Auman, her mother, Ora Hughes Bouldin, and two brothers. Mrs. Auman is survived by her daughters, Jenee Stanley and husband, Ken, of Asheboro, NC, Loren Hammond, of High Point, NC; sister, Betsy Kearns Glasgow and husband, Bob, of Franklinville, NC; grandchildren, Trey Hammond, Jeneal Hammond, both of Asheboro, NC; and her faithful canine companion, "Cookie"� Auman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jenee and Ken Stanley. Box 4384, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family would like to thank Dr. Christine McCarty, Kelli Mosher, P.A., and the staffs at the Randolph Cancer Center and Randolph Hospice House for their excellent care of Carolyn. Also, special thanks are given to Carolyn's best friend, Jean Elberson, sister, Betsy Kearns Glasgow, and granddaughter, Jeneal Hammond, for the special and loving care they gave to her during her illness and treatment.
