Carol Marie Fichter

Carol Marie Fichter, 67, formerly of Southern Pines, NC, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. A memorial will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Monarch Creative Arts and Community Center (MCACC), 1662 Richards Street, Southern Pines, NC. Carol was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on April 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Dan G. Fichter and Susan Kelly Fichter. She worked at Pinetree Vocational Workshop for 30 years. She participated in Special Olympics and she was a member of the Aktion Club. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, David Fichter and Gerald Fichter. She is survived by her sister, Susan Kennedy, of Shepherdstown, WV; brothers, Dan Fichter, of Ocean City, MD, and Richard Fichter, of Denver, CO.
