Carl Thomas Stout, 98, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Back Creek Friends Meeting Cemetery, 147 Back Creek Church Road, Asheboro, with Pastor John Voncannon officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Carl was born on January 31, 1928, in Randolph County, the son of the late Elwood Stout and Mary Lula Cooper Stout. He honorably served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a longtime member of Back Creek Friends Meeting. Carl retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation after 38 years of service. Carl loved his Corvettes, the beach, and the Lord.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Coltrane Stout; daughter, Joan Marie Stout; brothers, Ervin Stout, Clifford Stout, Rufus Stout, Dock Stout, Ray Stout; sisters, Mary Stout, Avis Stout, Iris Ledwell, Lois Walker, Grace Williams, Opal Ives, and Gladys Paul.
Carl is survived by his son, Eddie Thomas Stout and wife Verna of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Ed Tyler Stout and wife Ginny; great granddaughters, Taylor Stout, Peyton Stout; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Back Creek Friends Meeting, 147 Back Creek Church Road, Asheboro, NC 27205; or to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
