Carl B. Kearns

Mr. Carl Benjamin Kearns, 59, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Jody Harrison and Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Kearns was born October 9, 1952. He was the son of the late Sherman Lee Kearns and Susie Opal Robbins Kearns. He loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kearns was preceded in death by his brother, James Kearns. Mr. Kearns is survived by his son, Jamison Kearns, of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Calvin Kearns, of St. Augustine, FL; sisters, Ruth Whitt, and husband Rick, of Randleman, NC, Nora Coulson, of Asheboro, NC, Glenda Joyce, and husband Eddie, of Seagrove, NC; brothers, Irvin Kearns, and wife Peggy, of Denton, NC, Lloyd Kearns, and wife Melissa, Jerry Kearns, and wife Ann, Randal Kearns, and wife Sandy, all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lloyd and Melissa Kearns, 4007 Earnhart Road, Asheboro, NC.
