Calvin Thompson

Mr. Calvin Ray Thompson, 66, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mr. Thompson was born December 24, 1946. He was the son of the late Walter Ray Thompson and Vera Edith Yates Thompson. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Patsy Thompson, of the home; daughters, Rochelle Tuttle and husband, Timmy, of Randleman, NC, Lisa Frye and husband, Michael, of Trinity, NC; sons, Kenneth Thompson and wife, Sherri, of Franklinville, NC, Tony Thompson, of Mocksville, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
