Calvin Davis

William Calvin Davis, born Sept. 8, 1967, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 2354 Finch Farm Road, Trinity. The Revs. Mike Lee and Wayne Moore will officiate. Calvin had many friends and loved to listen to his music. He thought of himself as a DJ and will be missed by all who knew him. He was the son of Barry (stepfather) and Judy Moore Cox. He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Davis of Gaston S.C., who died Nov. 15, 2014. He had three brothers, Ricky L. Davis of Thomasville, N.C., Allen Cox of Kenai, Alaska, and Casey Davis of South Carolina; three sisters, Beverly, Becky and Marie Davis of South Carolina; an uncle, Bill Moore; aunts Frances (Sis) Moore and Freda Davis; nieces, Kelsey Davis, Skyler Davis, Faith Cox, Erin Cox, Abby Cox and Courtney Brown; nephews, Shawn Davis, Cody Davis, Keith Davis, Isaiah Cox and Tyler Brown; and several cousins.
