Bruce Peck

Larry Bruce Peck, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. A private memorial service will be held with his family. Born December 12, 1947 in Davidson County, Bruce was the son of the late J. Bryson and Lucy Peck. He graduated from Asheboro High School in 1966. Bruce was a sweet, kind and gentle man with a heart for giving. His quick wit brought a smile to the faces of family and friends. Bruce was a retired door greeter at WalMart, where he was known for his friendliness and good humor. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roy Alexander. Survivors include his daughter, Tina Peck Rumbley (Craig) of Asheboro; son, Mark Anthony "Tony" Peck of Archdale; sister, Carolyn Sue Peck of Charlotte; brother, Bryce Harrison Peck of Asheboro; grandchildren, Seth A. Rumbley, Meredith A. Rumbley, Isaac A. Rumbly, Madeline G. Rumbley, all of Asheboro and Justus B. Rumbley of Raleigh; nieces, Michelle Anderson of Randleman, Beth A. Stanley (Brian) of Lewisville; and nephews, Logan Peck of High Point and Tod Alexander (Carmen) of Lake Wylie, SC.
