Brian Barney Cooper, 57, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Marc Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Cooper was born October 23, 1961, in Montgomery Co., NC. He was retired from the City of Asheboro and was of the Baptist Faith. His achievements are numerous, the greatest were husband, father, son, brother, and friend, but his favorite was Paw-Paw. He was also known as an excellent mechanic and building racing engines. He loved everyone and everyone who knew him loved him. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Coble Cooper, of the home; daughter, Lori Cooper Blackwelder and husband, Ricky, of Asheboro; son, Timothy Brian Cooper and wife, Amanda, of Asheboro; parents, Neal and Dorothy Cooper, of Asheboro; sister, Jeannie Callicutt and husband, Robert, of Asheboro; brothers, Kenneth Cooper, Perry Cooper and wife, Kathy, Craig Cooper, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Alex Cooper, Abigail Cooper, Lena Godfrey, Elizabeth Cooper, Neal Cooper, and baby Kaye. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home.
