Brenda Hinson

Brenda Ann Hinson, 70, of Asheboro, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church, 2235 Spero Rd., Randleman, with Pastor Bruce Freeman and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at North Bend Cemetery, Bescher Chapel Rd., Jackson Creek. Mrs. Hinson was born March 5, 1947 in Brevard, NC. In her younger years she was a freelance artist and worked in advertising. She was a foster parent and a caregiver for her father for 14 years. Mrs. Hinson had a telephone ministry. She was a "Doll Doctor", artist and crafter of Binky's Babies Doll Hospital, where she repaired memories of the heart. Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Nathan Cox, Jr. and Mary Sitton Cox. Survivors include her husband, John E. Hinson of the home; sons, Jason Moore (Dawn) of Asheboro, John E. Hinson, II (Erin) of Cary; brother, Ervin Nathan Cox, III (Helen) of Asheboro; sister, Debra Brady (Jim) of Franklinville; and grandson, Rainier Parks Hinson of Cary. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home.
