Brenda Hemphill-Lee, 59, of Randleman, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her home in Oak Island, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at West Asheboro Church of God, 197 Lewallen Rd., Asheboro, with Rev. Jeffrey H. Sypole and Rev. Matt Gunter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born July 18, 1957 in Guilford County, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Elmer Dwight and Ola Lucas Hemphill. She was a 1975 graduate of Randleman High School and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee was a retired floral designer and former owner of The Gardener Cottage Florist in Randleman. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Timmy Lee of the home; sister, Darnell Garner and husband, Randall of Denton; brother, William Hemphill and wife, Anita of Randleman; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thursday at West Asheboro Church of God, prior to the service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Randolph SPCA, 300 W. Bailey St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or Brenners Children's Hospital, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
