Brenda Faye Cox

Mrs. Brenda Faye Allred Cox, 71, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martin Davis and Rev. Junior Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Cox was born November 18, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Edward Timothy Allred and Moleta Mae Hunt Allred. She was the owner of Kim's Tanning and loved music. She was a self taught musician who played many instruments and sang with various gospel groups through out the years. Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger Cox, of the home; daughter, Rhonda Cox Reekes and husband, Rick, of Sophia, NC; sons, Steven Cox and wife, Ann, of Snow Camp, NC, Curtis Cox and wife, Niki, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Shirley Williams and husband, Alan, of Winchester, KY; grandchildren, Alecia Cox, Brooke Cox, both of Asheboro, NC, Cheyanne Cox, of Snow Camp, NC; and special cousin, Gary Harlan and wife, Robin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Worthville Baptist Church, 1053 Castlerock Rd, Randleman, NC 27317.
