Brenda Cole

Brenda Faye Trotter Cole, 74, of Asheboro, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at her home.

Funeral arrangements will be posted once they become available.

Mrs. Cole was born on January 24, 1952, in Randolph County, NC, to the late John Austin “Buck” Trotter and Faye Hunt Trotter. She was a member of the last graduating class of Farmer High School. She spent many years working in the textile industry at Kaiser-Roth and Acme-McCrary, beginning her career in manufacturing and eventually advancing to an office position. Mrs. Cole was the longest-living member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended for more than 60 years. She was a quiet, loving, and devoted woman who was deeply respected and loved by all who knew her. Above all, she cherished her family and especially enjoyed watching and cheering on her children and grandchildren as they participated in sports. Her love, dedication, and gentle spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband or 55 years, Harold Cole of the home; daughter, Sandra Leonard (Jason) of Asheboro; son, Brian Cole (Terry) of Asheboro, sisters, Janet Beasley (Ronnie) of Sophia, Judy Cook of Denton, Donna Key, "Red" Olson both of Asheboro; brothers, Larry Trotter (Jan), Ricky Trotter (Carla) both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kaili Cole Potts (Trevor), Spencer Lee Cole, Lance Cole Leonard, Andrew Carter Leonard, Owen Christopher Leonard; great grandchildren, Eli Hudson Potts, and Greyson Lee Potts.
