Brenda Cheek

Brenda Sue Tilley Cheek, 74, of Lexington, died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., December 23, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lonnie Sorrell and Dr. Wayne Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Flag Spings United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Stokes County, NC, Brenda was born on July 6, 1946. Brenda was the daughter to the late William Thomas Tilley and Mamie Ludie Lawson Tilley. She was a home maker and had mostly lived in Randolph County. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Dewey Cheek; brothers, Sam And Fred Tilley; sister, Ersie Goins, Shirley Jean Collins, Patty Sorrell; and great great grandson, Dewey Houston Cagle. She is survived by daughter, Annette Powell of Lexington; son, Jonathan Cheek and wife Angie of Asheboro; sisters, Annie Mae Bullins of Stokesdale, Hazel Medley and husband Garfield of Lawsonville; grandchildren, Daniel Williamson, Brandi Cagle, Zach Cheek, Zander Cheek, Cody Yandle, Ethan Keye, Gage Keye; great grandchildren, Tyler, Brice, Levi, Madilyn, and Kylie. The body of Mrs. Cheek will lie in repose from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
